This method can be regarded as an enhanced version of the resonant type. It requires two resonant systems, transmitting and receiving, which can be made of induction coils respectively. By adjusting the transmitting frequency, the transmitting end vibrates at a certain frequency, which produces a non radiating magnetic field, that is, it converts electric energy into a magnetic field and forms an energy channel between the two coils. The natural frequency of the receiver is the same as that of the transmitter, so resonance occurs. With each resonance, more voltage will be generated in the receiver inductor. After multiple resonances, the surface of the inductor will gather enough energy, so that the receiving end can receive energy in this non radiating magnetic field, so as to complete the conversion from magnetic energy to electric energy and realize the wireless transmission of electric energy.


A laboratory of MIT demonstrated an experiment in 2008, lighting a 60W bulb within two meters. They named the technology WiTricity, and the project is still in the laboratory stage. Of course, the range of this non radiated electromagnetic field is relatively limited and is not suitable for long distances. It is required that the transmitting end and the receiving end be within 8 times the radius of the induction coil.
