Classification of wireless transmission
Wireless power transmission technology is divided into two categories: non radiation and radiation.
1、 Non radiation technology
Non radiative technology is inductively coupled between coils, and energy is transmitted through magnetic field. Application examples include electric toothbrush charging, RFID and smart card, rhythm regulator, electric car charger, Jr maglev power supply. The development focus is on wireless charging technology such as mobile phones.
2、 Radiation technology
Radiation technology uses directional energy beams such as microwave and laser to transmit energy. This technology can transmit energy to a long distance, but the transmitter must aim at the receiver. Wireless energy transmission using radiation technology is still in the experimental stage, and the proposed uses include solar powered satellites and unmanned aerial vehicles.
